Privacy Policy

Machiavelli Advisor is a web app and iOS wrapper that provides strategic guidance features. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Device identifier: a stable identifier generated by the iOS app (stored in Keychain) and sent to our API as X-Device-Id to link your subscription entitlement.
• Account/session data: authentication tokens and session identifiers used to keep you signed in.
• Usage data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service (e.g., API request timestamps, error logs).
• User content: the text you submit (cases, messages) so the app can provide responses and keep your history.

How we use information

• Provide the service and maintain case history.
• Enable subscriptions/entitlements for Pro features.
• Prevent abuse, troubleshoot, and improve reliability.

Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple via In‑App Purchase. We receive product identifiers and transaction identifiers to grant access. (TODO for future improvement: server-side validation using Apple’s App Store Server API.)

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us run the app (e.g., hosting, monitoring), only as necessary to provide the service.

Data retention

We retain data as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data (subject to legal/operational limits).
